About Emily

I have always been doing some version of this work.

My Story

Professionally, I am a hypnotist.

But really, I think of myself as a resourced space holder— someone who can sit beside you as you listen more closely to what is asking for your attention.

Long before I had language or training for this work, I was drawn to the deeper parts of people's stories. I was curious about what lived beneath the surface. Over time, education and experience gave me the resources to do intentionally what I had, in some ways, always done instinctively.

My work began more than fourteen years ago in the perinatal world. I came through birth education, doula work, fertility support, and hypnosis—accompanying people through one of life's most profound thresholds.

Eventually, I began to understand that birth was only one doorway.

We encounter thresholds throughout our lives.

Birth. Death. Relationships changing. Identities shifting. Children growing. A sense that the life we have been living no longer quite fits the person we are becoming.

I know these places not only through my work, but through my own life.

During a season of tremendous change—a midlife awakening of sorts—I turned toward this work myself. Hypnosis, imagery, intuition, story, and deeply supportive relationships helped me find clarity, release, and direction.

I have also been extraordinarily fortunate to be accompanied well through the tender thresholds of my own life.

That matters to me.

Because I know what it is to have someone stay near while you find your own way through.

Curiosity, not judgment.

There are many ways a session might unfold, but one thing remains consistent:

I will not bring judgment to what emerges.

I will bring curiosity.

I believe that kind of attention is essential to our becoming. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong, what you need, or even where our work will lead.

My role isn't to tell you what your experience means.

It is to create enough safety, presence, and companionship that you can bravely tend to what is asking to be tended.

Training & Experience

I hold a BA in Human Development and Social Relations with departmental honors and am a certified hypnotist and member of the National Guild of Hypnotists.

My continuing study has included hypnosis, fertility and perinatal hypnosis, childbirth, women's circle facilitation, intuitive development, mediumship, and work exploring the thresholds of birth and death.

My training and education have included work with Debi Boucher of Healed Heart Hypnosis; Lynsi Eastburn, creator of HypnoFertility; Laura Wood, creator of Blissborn; and Usha Anandi of Womben Wellness. I have also studied mediumship and intuitive development with Liam Galvin and am a member of the Institute for Birth, Death and Breath.

And I continue to learn.

Not because I believe I need to have every answer— but because I want to be well resourced when I sit beside you.

You don't have to know where to begin.

If something in you knows there is work to tend to, that is enough.
